There are several grades of Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee and traditionally, the coffee plant is grown at elevations between 900 and 1,500 metres above sea level. Only coffee grown at this altitude can be certified by the Jamaica Coffee Industry Board as being genuine Blue Mountain coffee.
